Carapace bringing people to Manuel's

Several people have said they had been to Manuel’s before they came to Carapace. Benjamin talked about how after being introduced to Manuel’s through Carapace, it became his neighborhood bar:
So
this became the place that I came to
because of Carapace,
and it became the place that I hang out in
after I started coming to Carapace.
And it’s a place where I connect with friends.
So I have my own history with it,
like my father has his own history.
I love that.
Just as Manuel’s impacts Carapace, Carapace also impacts Manuel’s.

Benjamin went on:
you can
map the history of Atlanta
literally through this building.
And it’s occasionally sordid,
occasionally tacky,
but it’s always
familiar. It’s
a neighborhood bar.
And I didn’t think that I would have one of those ever.
And I have this one now.
And so do you.
Because Carapace is the reason he began coming to Manuel’s, it gave him a neighborhood bar. And yes, this is true for me also. I started coming to Manuel’s because of Carapace and do also feel very comfortable there now, even when I’m not there for Carapace.
