Audience members making each other uncomfortable

When I think about audience members in the “safe space” I have considered how storytellers may make them feel comfortable and uncomfortable and also how elements of the physical environment contribute to their (dis)comfort. Terri brought up that audience members also have an impact on each other:

Even if it weren’t me [on stage]

if someone were performing, and

people were chatting,

I would be offended.

Audience members can potentially make the listening environment uncomfortable for each other.
