One of the things I loved about talking to Joyce was seeing that her vision for Carapace was originally a little different from Randy and Lance’s. Both Randy and Lance talked about not wanting a stage, trying to tone down the “performance” cues. Joyce wanted a stage.

I still wish we had

a stage.

I wish we had mood lighting.

But Joyce also talked about seeing that Carapace regulars didn’t like the stage at Venkman’s. This seems like a situation in which the event really has taken on a life of its own and has decided it exists better without a stage.
